As photographers, you are visual people, yet you are dependent on words to describe, explain, strengthen and promote your work. In this workshop you will spend three online sessions with American curator and writer, Alison Nordström, to improve and clarify the way you use words in relation to your photography with an emphasis on international practice. We will consider titles and captions, the “elevator speech”, the artist’s statement, exhibition wall texts, social media, photo books, working with writers, and conversational gambits for portfolio reviews. Participants will also receive an individualized written critique of their current writing.
